The Special Circus - The Final Part
What we really need in our West Virginia government is prioritization. The special session, however, was not really about the People’s priorities, but rather personal priorities.
The bills which did not deal with funding and resolving our Corrections and Volunteer Fire Departments crises are listed here:

It’s not really possible to ‘focus’ on this many bills in two days, particularly without the typical background information that we get when reviewing bills in committees. For most of the above bills, we were voting with minimal information, which is a ridiculous way to legislate. Committees should have reviewed the vast bulk of these bills to ensure we were actually spending appropriately, and then members should have had sufficient time and background materials to decide on how to vote.
Throughout the special session, the legislature once again picked winners and losers. By picking one group over another we effectively told most West Virginians that today was not their day, and tomorrow isn’t going to be their day either. This is not the role of government.
Our priorities should have been:
• Protecting the People from the tyrannical Biden regime
• Reducing, not increasing, the size of and spending by government, and lowering taxes
• Deregulating our economy and society
• Enhancing our overall infrastructure
• Stopping the sexualization and indoctrination of our children
• Criminalizing child mutilation and grooming
• Stopping ‘emergency’ powers that allow vaccine and mask mandates
• Prohibiting political prosecutions and persecution
Instead the legislature, once again, favored certain groups over the vast bulk of West Virginians, to benefit a select few.
I looked at what we did in this session and asked myself, "is this what Reagan, Eisenhower, Coolidge, Lincoln, Jefferson and Washington would have done" or is this what "Wilson, FDR, Lyndon Johnson, Clinton, Obama and Biden would have done." The answer is we did what Clinton would have done, and we spit on Reagan's legacy.
